These terms govern your use of BG Live, the game-night companion app and website. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

The service

BG Live provides timers, scoring tools, and play-history statistics for in-person board game sessions. It is a companion to your physical games, not a video game.

Free tier and subscriptions

• Free tier. Joining sessions hosted by others is free, always. Free accounts may host or manually log up to 3 game nights of their own (lifetime) and create one group.
• Premium. Unlimited hosting and full stats cost $5.99/month or $59.99/year, purchased as an auto-renewing subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Prices may vary by region and are shown in the store before purchase.
• Auto-renewal and cancellation. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel through your App Store or Google Play account settings; deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple/Google under their policies.

Acceptable use

• Keep your account credentials to yourself; you are responsible for activity on your account.
• Do not upload unlawful, harassing, or infringing content (including display names, group names, and board photos).
• Do not attempt to disrupt the service, scrape non-public data, circumvent free-tier limits, or access other users' data.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Your content and community game configs

You keep ownership of content you submit (including scores, photos, and community game configurations). You grant BG Live a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, adapt, and display that content as needed to operate and improve the service — for example, to sync sessions between your table's devices, or to include a community-submitted game configuration in the shared catalog.

Aggregate statistics

De-identified, aggregated gameplay statistics (such as play counts and which games are being played) may be displayed publicly or shared with partners, as described in our Privacy Policy. This data never identifies you or your group.

BoardGameGeek

BG Live is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by BoardGameGeek. The optional BGG integration uses credentials you provide, subject to BGG's own terms. Game titles and artwork remain the property of their respective publishers.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, BG Live and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data or lost profits, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account in-app at any time. We may suspend or end the service, or your access to it, for violations of these terms or if the service is discontinued.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction to be confirmed], without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
